Alfredo Zavala, a biologist by training and a self-taught painter in his beginnings, found his true passion in art, which led him to abandon biology and study at the Centro de Residencias e Investigación Artística in Ensenada, BC. As an independent artist, he has exhibited his work in Mexico, the United States, England, Spain and Tokyo, earning international recognition. His style is characterized by figurative elements with foundations of abstraction, focusing on portraits of wildlife and natural landscapes, both terrestrial and marine. According to Master Francisco Silva, “his work is the record of someone who meticulously observes our natural surroundings.” In the last decade, his life and art have oscillated between England and Mexico, an experience that has significantly influenced his series "Walking Between Two Lands." Since 2020, Alfredo has resided in Aguascalientes, Mexico, where he continues to explore the human figure and share his vast experience through teaching in academies and art galleries. His work not only captures the beauty of the natural world but also inspires others to appreciate and create art. Alfredo is currently an Honorary Member of the International Community "Red Global Creativa." His annual contributions are essential in supporting a cultural project that promotes the visibility, dissemination, and professional growth of artists and writers from around the world.
