Luis Manuel Roa was born in 1959 in the city of Irapuato, Gto. He is a multidisciplinary and eclectic artist (drawing, painting, sculpture, graphics, design), as well as a restorer of ancient art. His training is based on diploma courses, courses and workshops with great masters of Mexican art such as: Juan Castañeda, Luis Nishizawa, Antonio Pérez (Ñico), Jesús Mayagoitia, Javier Hinojosa, Pedro Ascencio, Arturo Rodríguez Doring, Francisco Castro Leñero, Angélica Escarcega, Octavio Bajonero, Graciela Kartofel and Jonatan Olvera. He has obtained several state and national awards in sculpture and painting. Also, he has a large number of both group and individual exhibitions. His work is exhibited in galleries in San Miguel de Allende, Tequisquiapan in Qro. Likewise, he is present in private collections in Mexico and the United States.
