"Lord of the Mirrors," a character that represents colonial syncretism, when the Spanish "conquered" and subjugated the indigenous peoples with deceit and trickery, stripping them of their ancestral land. Mirrors were one of the attractions used to deceive and make trades involving land, gold, and silver among the indigenous communities.
Currently, Catholic saints in churches adopt a new spiritual attire, where the garments of the saints are depicted in bas-relief, blending both the ancestral and modern clothing of Mayan deities. In this way, mirrors occupy a space around the neck of the ancestral figure, illustrating the cultural syncretism of religiosity.
The character's physical composition is inspired by Mayan lintels, and the clothing is a recreation of both the traditional Maya attire and the contemporary dress of the Tzeltal people from Tenejapa.
 
“Señor de los espejos”, personaje que representa el sincretismo colonial, cuando los españoles “conquistaron” y sometieron a los pueblos con engaños y trampas, despojándolos de su territorio ancestral. Los espejos fueron uno de los atractivos utilizados para engañar y realizar trueques con territorio, oro y plata entre los pueblos originarios.
Actualmente, los santos católicos en las iglesias adoptan una nueva vestimenta espiritual, donde los ropajes de los santos son representados en bajorelieve con la vestimenta ancestral y moderna de las deidades mayas. Así, los espejos toman un espacio en el cuello del personaje ancestral, describiendo de esta manera el sincretismo cultural de la religiosidad.
La composición corporal del personaje está inspirada en los dinteles mayas, y la vestimenta es una recreación de la indumentaria maya ancestral y lo contemporáneo del pueblo tzeltal de Tenejapa.
