Pilar Martín, ceramista formada en la Escuela de Cerámica Francisco Alcántara en Madrid, ha hecho de San Cristóbal de las Casas su hogar durante los últimos 18 años, redescubriendo en este lugar su pasión por el arte, la naturaleza, la simplicidad y la magia de la vida. Para ella, el arte es una fuerza poderosa y sanadora que permite expresar ideas, sentimientos y anhelos. Considera que el arte es una expresión personal y que cada artista es genuino en sus creaciones, ya que estas reflejan su esencia más íntima.
Pilar Martín siente un profundo amor por la cerámica, valorando su potencial creativo y los desafíos significativos que esta técnica conlleva. Trabaja con la tierra, el agua, el aire y el fuego, experimentando diferentes momentos a lo largo del proceso creativo.
