This recreation of the face of the sculpture "El David", by the Renaissance master Michelangelo Buonarroti, has been created with more than 7,800 LEGO pieces.

It is a three-dimensional mosaic that can be read from the front and, at the same time, shows different stories on the sides.

This piece is a tribute to Michelangelo Buonarroti (Michelangelo), one of the most important and prolific artists in history. Inside the work, you can see representations of the creation of Adam, St. Peter's Basilica, the battle of David and Goliath, and some other "easter eggs" alluding to the work of Michelangelo.

The piece is part of the Meta Tribute collection, in which Gerardo Pontiérr pays homage to great artists in history.

Esta recreación del rostro de la escultura “El David”, del maestro renacentista Michelangelo Buonarroti, ha sido creada con más de 7,800 piezas de LEGO.

Es un mosaico tridimensional que puede ser leído de frente y, a la vez, muestra diferentes historias a los costados. 

Esta pieza rinde tributo a Michelangelo Buonarroti (Miguel Ángel), uno del los más importantes y prolíferos artistas de la historia. Dentro de la obra se aprecian representaciones de: la creación de Adán, la Basílica de San Pedro, la batalla de David y Goliath, y algunos algunos otros “easter eggs” alusivos a la obra de Miguel Ángel.

La pieza es parte de la colección Meta Tributo, en la que Gerardo Pontiérr rinde homenaje a grandes artistas de la historia.
