BIO GRAPHY

I really like color and, mainly, I work with oil. During my artistic development, I have used different techniques and materials: charcoal, acrylic, pastel paints, colored pencils, etc. I have more than 200 works in my collection that cover different styles: abstract, modernist, cubist, contemporary, figurative and impressionist. The vast majority of my works are located within the Mexican Republic, however, some have traveled to London, England and Poland.

My love for horses makes me always draw and paint about them. I have hundreds of sketches or ideas to develop in my notebooks, however, it is not the only thing I have painted, I have also worked on portraits, still lifes, still lifes and landscapes.

Alan Said Parra Aguirre was born in the port of Alvarado, Veracruz in Mexico. From the age of 4 he was already interested in drawing. His childhood was spent between Alvarado and Chalpa, on the ranch where his maternal family originated. Contact with the countryside developed in Alan a love for animals, and so he began to paint them. His preference is horses, as he considers them "the most beautiful animals in the world".

He met the wonderful world of painting at the age of 12; He had his first approach to art in the subject of Visual Arts taught by the teacher Maribel Lara. From then on he never let go of the brush again.

Alan Said is a self-taught artist, his talent and ability to express the nature of the field is innate. Currently, he develops as an artist without leaving aside his career as an Industrial Engineer

"Engineer by profession, artist by vocation".
